Every week (on the back page) each issue displayed a full colour photograph of Barbie in one of her (mainly) ‘1600’ series of fashions. The dolls shown varied, with Skipper and Francie appearing too, from time to time. The main Barbie doll featured in these issues was the ‘American Girl’ – at that time, the newest available incarnation of Barbie on British toy shelves – and occasionally, the odd Bubblecut. There was only one ‘Tina’ annual published (in 1968) which contained an article featuring the Barbie doll and her fashions, across several pages.
