MORNING BREAK: 1960s/70s

For children in Great Britain (and I’m sure other countries, too) this is what morning break looked like sixty years ago, at Primary school.I was five years old and in the ‘Infants’ class when we were subjected to this ritual.I say ‘subjected’ because I hated milk and even worse, this arrived WARM in specially designed miniature bottles, having been stacked outside in the school playground, gathering heat.Needless to say, I refused to drink it – then and now.I came across this photo and it so represented my own schooldays at this point, that I had to post it.Maybe some of you remember, too.
